Floating Bridge Pond, Lynn, MA Fishing Report

Was Driving Through Lynn, MA Randomly...

And I spotted a little pond with a bridge that ran right through it! Later on, after coming to this website, I realized that it's called Floating Bridge Pond.

I didn't expect much action here, but I had two friends with me, and our plans in the area had gotten cancelled, so we busted out my rods and went to town. They are pretty new, so they were complaining after 20 minutes of no bite.

But then, one of them hit on a jitterbug, and then another hit on a KVD 1.5.

Nothing huge, but the bite was on...

I was using senkos and ended the day with 6 bass, 3 which were well above average size. One friend caught two pickerels, a couple little bass, and then one giant pick was brought up to shore and thrashed last minute, ripping the KVD lure off the line and headed to the middle of the pond where we could see him thrashing about. The other friend just hit one small bass on a jitterbug.

Not too shabby for a random pond chosen last minute... A great little spot to teach impatient friends how to fish.

  • I don't know where you'd be able to launch a boat... It's pretty small. But anything's possible!

  • Good Job. I drive by all the time. Never tried it. I'll have to give it a try one of these days.

No boats in there I assume?
