Went fishing again in NJ with my brother. Went to a hike in pond that is loaded with big bass. I topped my biggest once again with a 4lber during the day and then a 5lber during the night. Senkos are making all the difference in my fishing lately. Got the first one on a green with red flake 5" and the second on a white with silver flake 4".

Went to Quarter Mile Pond today for a few hours in the morning. Caught two small largemouth and a small pickeral. It's starting to get weedy with a lot of lily pad growth, but that's where I caught the fish so I'm not complaining. Fished a red Zoom worm for the bass, caught the pickeral on a white spinnerbait. Not too bad for a few hours today.

Went back to north Jersey to fish with my brother in some small walk-in ponds. Found a heck of a spot and nailed a ton of fish in very little time. Best one was about a 3lber that I took on a red Zoom worm with green flecks. Planning on going back another time this summer, can't wait.

Took my first trip out to Quarter Mile Pond this afternoon. Great day to be fishing, although a little windy at times. Saw a number of fish very close to shore, a few big ones but nothing was biting. Fished about 3 hours, and on my last spot I finally hit my first LMB of the year. Got about a 2lber on a Rat-L-Trap blue and white. Fished Zoom worms most of the day with no luck, so I thought I'd try some hard bait and that did it.

Fished Fellsmere in Malden on Sunday for a few hours in the afternoon. It was extremely windy, but it was good to get out again and enjoy the sporadic sunshine. Threw just about everything I had in that pond, but didn't get a bite. When will my first fish come, I have no idea...

Went fishing on Sunday down at Borderlands State Park to one of my favorite fishing holes. It was around 40 and windy, but figured I'd check it out anyway. The water was very high at the pond and I had to put my wading boots on to get past the brush along the banks. Didn't catch anything, but it was nice to be out. This cold weather needs to break soon!

Went fishing on the Assabet in Acton/Maynard today. Water was high and the current was flowing. Shore fishing was tough with the water levels, but tried it anyway. Fishing 1.5 hours, not a bite. Tried many different lures and plastics, not much happening there. Ponds in the area still frozen over pretty good, need some warmer weather.
