Lake Boon Fishing
I have a trip planned to fish all day Sunday with my Dad and some friends which I'm really looking forward to. I got out of work a little earlier than expected and couldn't resist the urge to spend a little time on ice. I picked up a dozen shiners and arrived to my spot around 3:30. It was a steady hour of flags and met a couple local fisherman that were riding around on their 4 wheelers. During the conversation I was having with one of them a flag went up and I made my way over. I had showed him a few pictures of past trips and when I felt the fish on the end on the line I realized that it would soon be time for a few more pictures. The fish felt heavy and I was skeptical if it would fit throught the hole as I did a half ass job recycling it from a past trip. Fortunately the Big Bass made it through and I after weighing her I felt the day was complete- a nice 4 1/2 pound Piggy. The fellow angler took a couple photos for me before I released it into the lake. I donated the remainder of my bait to a close by seagull before packing up shop. Another awesome day on the ice and looking forward to having some company out there on Sunday.
