Couple Trips At Boone- Napa's Lunker!
Went out on Lake Boone several times over the weekend and enjoyed fishing some new spots in the deeper basin. Napa joined me for the majority of the adventures and had much success throughout the trips. The first time out on saturday afternoon Jen and I went out for about an hour and I had an action packed visit at a nearby cove- 3 bass all in the 1 1/2 - 2 lb range and then a big pickeral. Napa and I went out the following night from around 6pm - 1 am- we fished deep waters with some shallower shelfs off a couple points. Over 15 bass in the boat and a couple awesome ones landed by Napa. Around 10pm Napa was retrieving a jitterbug past a dock near a shelf I had recently discovered and got a solid strike. After some entertaining jumps and a desperate last dive the fish was in the net. A beautiful largemouth bass over 4 lbs was a great excuse for us to tip back a couple more brews. At the end of the trip he got another great bass, weighing in just over three pounds from the shallows of cove infested with lili pads. It was great to spend some time on the water and I'm glad the trips produced a nice wall bass!
