Charles River - Watertown Boat Ramp - 8/16/10
This spot is like a puzzle--find the wrong pieces--and you got nothing. When you DO figure out the right pattern its rewarding! Went out and started with a shakey head rigged Mann's paddle tail (4" Blk/Chrtuese)--nothing--then a Roboworm (4" wtrmelon/Chrtuse)--nothing. I scratched my head...I was working the rig off the bottom slow and steady. I figured with all the pressure (low water, heat, water temps) the fish would want something finesse--wrong. Switched two a 6' suspending jerkbait (chartreuse/red/white) and the action was on--jerk, pause, jerk, jerk! I attached a picture of the biggest one caught--a hard fighting sallie.
Probably, one pound and some change! Need a scale though! It was a solid little fish though. I had made a really long cast and the fight was nice--light drag.
